Privacy Policy

This page explains what information kumbh.one collects when you visit, and how it's used.

1. Who we are

kumbh.one is an independent informational website about the Kumbh Mela. We are not a government body, Mela administration, or booking agency. References in this policy to "we," "us," or "the site" mean the operators of kumbh.one.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how the site is configured at any given time, this may include:

  • Usage data collected automatically by analytics tools — such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and referring site.
  • Information you provide directly — for example, if you email us through the Contact Us page, we retain that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not require account creation, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as financial details, government ID numbers, or health data.

3. Cookies

The site may use a small number of cookies or similar local-storage technologies for basic functionality and anonymised analytics. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so should not affect your ability to read the site's content, though some preference-based features may reset.

4. How we use information

Any information collected is used to understand how the site is used in aggregate, to fix broken pages or links, to respond to messages sent through the Contact Us page, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Third-party links

This site links out to external resources — including government Mela administration pages, tourism boards, and news sources — for further reading. Once you leave kumbh.one, that site's own privacy practices apply, not this one.

6. Data retention

Analytics data is generally retained only in aggregate or for a limited period sufficient for the purposes described above. Direct correspondence (such as emails) is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve your query or as required by law.

7. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Your choices

You can browse kumbh.one without providing any personal information at all. If you've contacted us directly and would like your correspondence deleted, use the Contact Us page to request this.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the site or in applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the Contact Us page.

Editorial note
Template
This policy is a general-purpose template. Before publishing, have it reviewed against the specific laws that apply to your audience (for example India's IT Act / DPDP Act, or GDPR if you expect EU visitors) and against whichever analytics or hosting tools you actually enable.
